I am planning on trading a couple of Trading systems using Metastock.
I am not at all satisfied with the buy / sell signals generated using
the expert advisor. What I have been using to generate my signals
during the paper trading phase are true/false indicators. I take
my "Enter Long" and "Enter Short" codes and make a seperate True/False
indicator for each of these. I color code each of these indicators so
as not to get confused. All of my systems are designed to trade on the
Open with a 1 day delay. Each evening I update my data and check the
indicators to to see if a position change is signaled. Finally I re-
run the system which will tell me if I have made any mistakes on the
previous days signals.
My question to the forum is: Is there a better way of doing
things? If anyone has any real experience at executing a Metastock
based system, I am sure many of us would like to hear about it. Also,
I am seeing problems with Metastock missing stop-outs. Does anyone
have any ideas about this one?
