Hi Martin
I suspect that you are using too few bars in the
exploration (minimum records perhaps?). Alert() is one of those functions that
does not force the Explorer to use to use the required number of periods - 200+X
in this case. Force the Explorer to use more than 200+X bars and I think
your problem will go away. If you're using an exponential moving average
somewhere in the formula that you're not showing then results from that could
also be off unless you're specifying sufficient bars (different
problem).

Subject: [EquisMetaStock Group] Using Alert in the Explorer - what
am I doing wrong?
Hi,
I have a formula which I am using in the Explorer:
Alert(ROC(CLOSE,X,%)>Y,200)
X and Y are of course real numbers
when I use it. For some reason some of the stocks which should qualify
are not coming up (even though when I use the same formula as an indicator
it does work correctly.
Any ideas what I am doing
wrong?
Regards
