If you understand the  fundamentals of seasonals and why they happen 
in commodities, you begin to see why technicals work. example. 
Harvest lows occur when 30% of soybeans are harvested  as a general 
rule and the carryover level and export demand brings about seasonal 
lows or highs depending on when south american soybeans enter the 
world market at a lower price etc. The seasonals are relateed to 
global harvest and quantity of carryover as an example.
