Or, you could visit http://www.masterdata4metastock.com/.  All composite data is already totaled for you and, for MetaStock users, there is a plug-in that automatically allows your charts, tests, experts, etc. to pull this composite data directly into the program.  Includes advances/declines/issues traded, advancing/declining/total volume, new 1 year high/lows and much more.  ETF and index component lists are updated rigorously.  Historical datafiles are updated hourly throughout the trade session on 61 major indexes and ETFs.

If anyone does decide to try it out, I would appreciate hearing about your experience, good, bad or indifferent.

Best,

Larry Carhartt

How can I do this??

The MetaStock Tips & Tools newsletter has discussed acumulating values from multiple securities using the Explorer more than once. The method used is accurate to 6 or 7 significant digits and this is more than adequate for most needs.
