MetaQuotes was the original free fx price data feed/charting/order
entry program authored by the MetaQuotes Software company, replaced by
MetaTrader 3 and now MT4. Unlike MT3/4, MQ links directly with
MetaStock and also updates price history.
Alpari provide the server for MetaQuotes and the 'demo' is continually
renewable. http://www.alpari-idc.com/
The previous instructions included an incorrect server address — sorry
about that — which has now been corrected.
An msfl file may also be required in order for MetaStock to update
price data, a Paritech address is provided where the appropriate msfl
files are available for download.
