I was looking for just such a function some time ago - to calculate
skewness and kurtosis I think. It does have many applications - I
needed it as storage space. In stead of creating 50 variables in
MSFL, which is anyhow not possible, you can utilise this function and
an array and its first 50 spaces as that storage. Then you can do
interesting things with say the cum function. You could e.g. count
the number of times four rises in a row was followed by another rise
or by a fall and then calculate the probability of the market rising
or falling on the fifth day and so on.
