What and how much do you want to know? For an interesting account,
there's John Kenneth Galbraith's "The Great Crash 1929."
While this book is informative and entertaining, it has a liberal
slant. Murray Rothbard does a much better job of identifying the root
cause in "America's Great Depression." This book is a available for
free from the Ludwig von Mises Institute at
http://mises.org/studyGuideDisplay.asp?action=AuthorListings&AuthorLast1=Rothbard&AuthorFirst1=Murray%20N.
or in print from the Institute's online store.
If you're looking for a commentary on life during the depression,
Frederick Lewis Allen's "Since Yesterday" is excellent. After reading
that, you'll probably want his book on the 1920s, "Only Yesterday."
