RE: [EquisMetaStock Group] Brokers Choice

My experience is that OptionsXpress has an almost foolproof order entry
format and provides fast, mostly friendly customer service. IB is cheaper,
but it is much less customer friendly. It also has odd glitches like not
being able to access your account over the weekend. IB is a good set up for
the professional trader who already has a number of systems in place to
track orders etc. and for whom speed and cost of execution, and access to
the maximum number of markets is key.

The free real-time intraday charting in optionsXpress is a bonus, too.

For myself, I just closed my IB account - and my optionsXpress account stays
open. But IB seems to score highly in a lot of surveys.

Subject: [EquisMetaStock Group] Brokers Choice

Does anyone use Interactive Brokers? What was your experience with
them? I am looking to try some other broker to reduce trading costs. My
intent is to mainly trade stocks and plain vanilla options - mainly
Puts but an occasional Call with a Rollover IRA.

I am currently using Ameritrade and OptionsXpress and plan to cut out
Brownco as they won't let me buy Puts on a Rollover IRA account. Don't
have any grief with Ameritrade or OptionsXpress but maybe I can do
better on costs of trading. Your advice is welcome..

Thanks,
