Is there a program which will scan for duplicates, out of date symbols, dead securities, etc. so I can clean and consolidate about
10 years of crap?

There used to be a program called MetaCare Base, I think. When I Google for it and find it, the version is in German and yo no
sprechen sie Deutsch.
