Only thing I can suggest is to go to Yahoo Finance. For each stock in
their data base, they have the
data on total shares outstanding AND float. That makes your job that
much more difficult, however.
Indexes don't have float numbers, I believe.
I too, Eric, do look at float and the easiest way to accomplish this is
through the software I referred
to.
I have NO financial or other interest in that software. Just a
satisfied user.
They have the float on every stock I'm interested in. In fact, they
cover thousands.
