Pierre,
I agree with you, but it would take
ages to compute all and display it.
The easier (free) thing would be to
create a link of all the 300 stocks into excel, allow excel to do the
computation, and copy the resulting numbers into a MS data
file.

build a personal index?
If in a custom indicator you can include 28 stocks, you can use
as many custom indicators to get 300 stocks. A final custom indicator will add
the value of all these custom indicators.

For 300 stocks/instruments for
an index in MS, you would need to go in for a commercial product. MS formula
window cannot take more than a certain number of characters.
When I had tried it, I could
include only 28 stocks.

[Metastockusers] Can MS8 build a personal index?
Hi everyone.
I've read the Manual about creating
composite securities. The problem being that MS8 (as far as I can
see)only allows you to have security A and security B.
I'm
looking at around 300 stocks, and I want to be able to build an index
for them.
I thought some lateral thinking might be required here.
I'm out of ideas.
Any takers?
