I don't trade with ICE, but I did a lot of testing very early in the
product's life. I tested it on around 175 symbols.
I also tested the individual experts it built for each symbol using
methods I've described on here before with the explorer under
differing market conditions.
There is no question in my mind a person can definitely make money
using ICE.
The program has some curve fit in it. Part of the curve fit can be
fixed by breaking out equations and putting them into 2 variable or 3
varible binary wave equations. In addition, the elimination of
optimized stops and limits remove a lot of the curve fit.
ICE is designed for people who want to trade a limited number of
symbols, don't need to be in the market all the time and are willing
to rely on indicators to make their trading decisions.
In my opinion based on my experience trading and working with ICE, it
can be an effective product. One big problem is it usually only sold
to newbie's, who can mess up anything with little or no effort.
I've also heard that people can't make money with PowerStrike, and
I've also found that to be incorrect. You can't make money with
PowerStrike alone, but when I built a system around it, the profits
were excellent. It was a very good tool as part of other tools within
a system.
My systems work better than ICE or PowerStrike so I don't trade with
them regularly, but I've tested both of them inside and out. I test
nearly everything that comes along just to see how it performs against
what I use. Basically, ICE can help a new trader learn how to trade
and make a little money in the process.
However, neither product works for everybody.
