None of these are any good for buy and hold investors. Trade Sim is
system tester program. It has nothing to do with buy and hold. It has
to do with systems developmentt. There is not such thing as a TA
system for buy and hold other than using moving averages. The other
programs you mentioned are for newbie trader's. They both cause you
trade frequently.

buy and hold book written or

In Roy's newsletter, the April and May issues have articles that are
very specific on how to do low risk trading (trading implies you don't
do buy and hold investing). 

What's is your definition of a buy and hold trader? Hold for how long?
