Thank to everybody for taking out the time to help me out. Really appreciated.

Roy - a big thanks to you specially - you really have been a great help.

Regarding the first query - i think there is a problem with my installation bcos it was not plotting it still. I had tried that before i put up the query. Maybe i need to reinstall.

Thanks once again to all concerned.

Could I also ask another query or rather raise a point for discussion - Would anybody share their experiences with Indicators for determining whether the index or the stock is in trending or sideways mode. For trending systems to be effective - they should reduce their trading during sideways markets - I have tried Linear Regression Slope, Aroon, Wilder ADXR and DMI and RAVI among others. Are their any experiences of members on this issue which can be shared. Which indicator has proved helpful and which not. Atleast so that the time spent on finding the right one can be reduced by starting with the ones with highest chance of success. I personally have not found the Wilder and Regression ones to be effective enough.

Sharad,

Let me try answering the first one. Right click on chart, choose 'expert advisor' and 'attach' and select the 'equis-candlesticks' from the resulting widow and okey it. You will have all Doji, Hammer etc. on the chart

Sharad, it's not so much lack of expertise that leaves your post
unanswered, as lack of the free time necessary to answer your lengthy
questions.  Try posting one query at a time - you may have some
success then.

> 1] How to Plot Functions like Gaps / Doji / Hammer etc. on a chart.

Apply the standard "Candlesticks" expert to your chart, and enable the
selected candlesticks functions in the Symbols section.

This is best coded in a referenced exit signals indicator.

> 3] How to keep track of how many previous months...

Rephrase your question, perhaps break it down into one step at a time.

> 4] How to enter at a particular price in the day in System Tester

This is best coded in a referenced entry signals indicator.
