Buying and holding SPY shares is not a good strategy. SPY's are good
vehicles for traders. That's about it.

If you want to use buy and hold, read William Bernstein's The Four
Pillars of Investing. His buy and hold strategy is the only buy and
hold method that anyone should use. I've studied the mathematics
behind Bernstein's methods and I've also tested his strategy over long
periods of time. It's rock solid and works better than any other
strategy out there.

If you want to learn to trade the SPY and QQQQ, read Roy Larsen's
newsletter. In next month's issue he is presenting a trading method
for the SPY and QQQQ, including the MS code and several unique
indicators just for those two ETFs.

MS won't help you with buy and hold but Bernstein will.
