You're spot on with the slow commands. PREV is much worse than Fml() and FmlVar(), but not as much
of a problem at it used to be, simply because of faster machine speeds these days. The Simulation
function used by the System Tester in 8.01/9.0 rates the same or worse than PREV. Not sure why.
Nesting a bunch of If() functions can make an indicator slow to plot but I haven't tested the effect
on explorations or system tests.
