The only condition I know of that might be worth exploring is this
one: If a major index is up in price today but the market breadth is
negative, that index is more likely to be down tomorrow. Vice versa
for trying to catch an up-day.
Even this idea will have its drawbacks, though. First, the condition
doesn't occur often and second, there's no telling how large the move
will be. It may not be large enough to be profitable and/or it may
not have a high enough success rate to be profitable.
