"Future versions of MetaStock in development fully support
our data partners just as our previous versions have."
The key words here are *data partners*.
For example, not so long ago I had to convert some obscure cattle
sales data for a local farmer client. Will he need to pay royalties
to Reuters for this process in the future?
What about other non data-partner projects, such as Mansoor's
excellent data conversion set of tools at http://www.geocities.com/
mimansoor ? Will he need to become an Equis data partner too?
I'm crossing my fingers, and hoping that the data Status Quo remains.
