Claude,

Does "support" mean that TC2005 will do a simple conversion to a format directly readable by Metastock?  and not a 255 stock folder limit?

Thanks

TC2005 WILL support Metastock beginning in March. They are still in the process of working out
beta bugs.

TC2005 does not support MetaStock any more as far as I can tell. Is
any one working on a new write up? There is no use reinventing the
wheel. If not I will try. (I am very new at this stuff.)

I have been able to generate data for the Russell 3000 using the text
output from TC2005 and the downloader. The bad news is the initial
file conversion for 2 years of data took several hours. The good news
is that a 1 day update takes about 5 minutes. I do not have the
fastest machine in the world but the process is mostly disk limited.
I put all the stocks in one directory. The limit of 2000 stocks in a
directory does not appear to exist for Version 9.

I am still working on how to automate the process. So any help there
would also be appreciated.

thanks
