RE: [Metastockusers] System Test Execution

Roy,
I read Tom's posting on the v8 System Tester. It was very interesting. I set the options as he advised but still am having issues hitting all the trades (single security test sample).

I am getting some phenomenal returns on the System Tester for my list of 800 securities at 125, 250, and 500 bars. I know you can not assume past history has any bearing on future price movements but I hope someday I will have to figure out how to place large trades for real. :-p

Thanks for your time and help,
Scott

Hi Scott

The one essential point above all else with the System Tester is that there must be sufficient funds
available to execute the trade.

I don't have time to list all the places where this requirement can come unstuck, but I suggest you
find Tom Sprunger's article on the System Tester before you go too much further. If it's not in the
files section of this group then it certainly is in the "equismetastock" group.

Kind regards

Roy Larsen
