Kathay, "retail" and "profitable" trading systems are two very
different things. Away from all marketing hype and deception, trading
systems for sale do little except give the buyer an expensive
education, and the rest a bad reputation.
Successful traders are contrarian in nature. That is, they trade
their own methodologies that differ from those of 90% of the general
public. One cannot consistently profit in the market by following the
public at large, or following a one-size-fits-all retail system
available to many others.
The reality is that a profitable fully-mechanical system that makes
good profits is not going to be available to the public for any
reasonable price - instead that system would be applied to a hedge
fund and put to work making mega profits there.
Fully mechanical system sellers generally fall into two categories:
1) Unscrupulous;
2) Self-deluded.
Type #1 system-sellers outnumber type #2 by a very large margin.
Beware.
It should be generally considered unethical to sell trading "systems".
I personally would not be able to sleep at nights after selling a
mechanical system to a client for say $5000, on the promise that it
will make him/her a wealthy person. Money-printing machines are not
generally for sale.
The truth is, only *you* can design a trading system that suits your
own capital, accepted level of risk, available trading time, available
maintenance time, understanding of market conditions, etc. In short,
the only trading system that works, is one tailored by you, tailored
to your own psychology.
By all means, use good trading tools available such as MetaStock to
generate your own wealth. Don't waste time on ready-made wealth-
creation schemes.
