Other observations;
I have 3 computers running ICE 2.02 with Metastock 9.0. My Pentium 4 desktop with XP Home Edition has experienced significant problems, ie: system crashes, tests performed with only 1 result??. After removing both programs several times and reinstalling, I have set the system tester to clean past results every time I open it, however Metastock is running slower??? It can take up to 30 sec. to move from 1 chart to the next in the same folder??
My laptop with XP Home Edition has the Centrino chip. I have had to reinstall both programs on this also, but since having the system tester set to saving 0 results, it seems to be running fine.
My third computer is a Pentium 3 750 with Win98 and has not experienced any problems, so much for the newer technology.
I too have emailed Equis for answers, the only response I got was that they wanted more info???
Maybe this info can help somebody find an  answer.
Thanks

Subject: [EquisMetaStock Group] Discovered a bug in MS 9 Pro System Tester - Hyper threading

Dear friends,

after repeated long trials a friend of mine discovered why his
System tester did'nt work on its PC. After some tests any system
stopped to work and MS crashed.
Only when he disabilited the hyper threading function on the Intel
CPU the system tester worked normally.
He said me that he spent a lot of time reinstalling many times its Xp
home OS, but that had nothing to do with the real problem.
He said that Equis has never replied to this question.
Have some of you experienced this trouble ?
Is possible that a big company like Equis has not considered this
case ?
John
