Good question, Valerio - this same question can apply to most other
T/A strategies.
It all comes down to sufficient liquidity and "smoothness" of price
action - by "smoothness" I mean a low amount of random price action.
The MACDH divergence kit Long/Short entry signals work equally well on
any time frame, but I personally would not use any T/A strategy on a
tick chart, unless there was sufficiently smooth price movement there.
Here is a client's broad strategy using Forex 5min charts, MACD
histogram divergence signals and Pivot levels:
