 You may also be able to obtain a "hex editor" and edit the 
MWL files so they read D: instead - this step is rather complex though - 
make sure you have good backups of your MWL files first

  I have about 100 metastock layout files each containing 6 
charts.  
  My metastock data files are currently on my D: drive. I 
would like to  move the data files to the C: drive.  
  Is there a 
way to edit the mwl layout files to reference the new data  file source on C:
