Hi Lynn, short answer, there is no one 'best'.
Most online fx brokers provide free realtime quotes and charting
through their order entry platform. Spreads vary from broker to
broker, price quotes and chart updates will for the most part move in
unison between them, tho there may be a few pips difference on the
Daily HL prices. There isn't a 'best', however additional criteria
may decide 'your best selection' based on: reliability; customer
service; minimum account/trading margin; lot and minilot; no
commission; instant fills; fixed spreads and so on.
Some charting programs such as MetaStock and Tradestation will link
with some brokers and/or the MetaTrader program. see:

MetaTrader is modeled on MetaStock, accepts custom Indicators and
Experts and is now in beta v 4. There are a few brokers in the US
using MT. Alpari located in Moscow Russia and often used to download
a renewable MT demo account from: http://www.alpari-idc.com/ are the
broker to clients world wide to judge by various forums member posts,
and said to be going through regulation prior to opening a UK office.
The largest US retail fx broker is FXCM: http://www.fxcm.com/ with
offices in the UK and HK.

Pay-for-use price feeds can run into the hundreds of $ per month, and
are just as susceptible to downtime as free feeds; by far the most
important feed is the order entry platform.
Cycle through trial demos 2 at a time compare, test then choose.
