I am using MS 9.0 eSignal edition. I developed an expert that I
apply to the e-mini S&P 500 5 minute candle chart. The expert is
looking for certain candle patterns. I have the expert set to check
only on completion of candles. During the day - real-time, signals
trigger. So far - so good...
The problem is the next day. I open the same chart, same expert and
signals that I was getting yesterday are no longer there. Upon
further examination the chart patterns are different. For instance,
if I was looking for a doji that doji is now a small real-body. This
happens quite frequently where the data is a bit off. This makes
back testing very difficult. Does anyone know why this is happening?
Any thoughts, help is greatly appreciated.
