I will inbox you the traders name if you like but I doubt he will be
much use to you-he was a guest speaker at a conference and his role
was to update us on the global macro-economic fundementals. He
trades strictly by fundementals-using a lot of spreads, ie short
oil+long gold-to capitalize on what he sees happening. His secret,
he claims, is to simply keep monitoring his positions and add to
winners and lose losers. The market is smarter than him.
As to Jose's MACD signal-it fired on Oct 15 and the next day opened
at 99.98. The Volatility stop was at 97.55. On the 25th it traded
below the stop but closed above it. The stop kept you in the trade
for the move up. ETS then fired on Nov 8th, the next day it opened
at 104.18 Both systems are now long and profitably so. But Jose's
system is up 5 points in a month!
