An alternative if to use a data vendor that automatically adjusts for splits (and consolidations, renames, merges, code changes, exchange changes and other corporate actions).

Costs for such data vendors average around ~$25/month.

Subject: [EquisMetaStock Group] How to handle splits in historical stock data?

Dear all,

I'm using historical data which I retrieve from the internet (Yahoo).
However, when a split occurs, metastocks shows this as a "terrible
stock price free fall" which tampers my system testing.
Can any one help me telling Metastock this is a split event in stead
of a price crash?

Thanks and kind regards
(using metastock 6.52)
