Hi Robert,
Thank you for the hypertrader link.
I'm using Metastock EOD, I presume the operation of System Tester in
MS PRO is the same.
For me to code the system I need to know the following:
1. when is the ENTRY signal executed - OPEN of next bar, CLOSE of the
bar which caused the crossover (MARKET order is mutually exclusive
with Stop/Limit order, unless there is some clever way to go around
this problem) or perhaps a calculated value at which the cross over
would have occurred?
2. do you want to use CLOSE for stops, and not HIGH/LOW?
I tested 22,500 hourly bars EUUS with just the cross over, buying on
the OPEN of the following bar and didn't get good results, the
signals appear to be late.
