[EquisMetaStock Group] Test for a certain event over the last n days

What can I use in Metastock to examine if an event has occurred any 
time over the last n days?

For example, if a MACD crossover occurs today, at any time over the 
last 5 days did the ADX cross 20?

I know about the ref command but that implies that you must be 
specific about the day.
