If you are a programmer look at AmiBroker.
I haven't found a perfect investment tool. You'll have to try a few. Some
people use Excel to do their analysis and charting.
Metastock is easy to learn.

Hello all,
I am a novice to investing on a regular basis although I have been
trading once in a while and own a decent portfolio. I am looking to
trade options and do some value investing (not intra-day trading).
I am looking to invest on a more serious note and am looking for
objective comparison between Meta Stock and any other investing tools
available like INVESTools (being promoted by CNBC and others). I
understand INVESTools can be more costly.
I am looking for your guidance as more experienced investors.
