If you deem it absolutely necessary to run
300K of tests then I suggest you check out Amibroker – it is reputed to
be just about the fastest TA analyzer out there in the main stream. The Trading
System in AB will optimize very effectively. It is also a Portfolio System
Tester so the results are more robust for stock picking situations (IMHO). I
use MetaStock, AIQ, Omnitrader and Omega stuff so I think I can offer objective
advice. You can get a download for 30 days to see if it will do what you want. I
have no commercial interest to any software house etc etc.
I am not slating MetaStock just that there
are “horses for courses”.
