I totally understand what you are saying. I also had trouble importing data in ascii CSV format and that's why I simply copy and paste from a site tha has qcjforex site. I originally stored a lot of data in Excel and made the same headings as the following:

<per>
<date>
<time>
<open>
<high>
<low>
<close>

Then I simply copied and paste from this site every few minutes till I figure out how to import data realtime, which should be straightforward though a DDE feed.
