Hi Roy,
Thank you for taking time to answer my post.
What I want to do is the following. I have noticed that at the open
on an intra day chart the markets often gap up or down. What I would
like to do is to look at the last half hour before the market closes
and the first half hour the next day after the market opens.
Taking the high and the low of this time span on an intra day chart
I would like to calculate a line that draws a line in the middle of
this gap extending to the right and to the end of the trading day.
The idea behind this is to trade from the long side if the market
moves above this line. In case the market moves below this line
than I will only accept trades from the short side.
I hope this makes sense
