<<I´m amazed that so little people reply to this, are we the only ones experiencing these crashes om MS ???? I got tons of layouts with multiple charts and a lot of combined securities and all the work I´ve put into it was all for nothing because I can´t even open some of then anymore without Metastock crashing (very frustraded after you paid so much money for this software!!!) Anyway, by the low response I hope there is some kind of cure for it. Or are 99% of MS users just plotting regular charts and not using MS intensivly ???? Problem is I have no Idea as to what MS crashes ???? I thought it was the composite Securities but this does not seem to be true.>>
No, not everyone is having this problem. I've had MS 8.0/8.01 EOD for over a year running every day with Win XP Home, and have had a Windows crash perhaps twice. I use layouts as well, and I run numerous back tests and explorations. My computer is an Intel 1.8 MHz with 512 MB of memory.
Win XP crashes it leaves a record which you can access. Would suggest that you get the crash records (a few at least) and call or write to Equis. They are very helpful on this type of problem, but you need documentation.
