If you right click on the X-Axis at the bottom of the chart you will see a selection of X Axis Properties. Select that and then select Scale. There you will see the dates that are loaded, and the dates that are displayed. If the dates that are loaded don't reach back to the earliest date you want, you have to close that chart and file and re-open it. When you get to the Open window click on the Options in the upper right and select Load Options. There you will be given the number of periods, etc. to load. If you know your file has about 3000 records for example, and you always want to load the maximum, you could set that number to 5000 so that you would always get the max. After you have done this, I believe that you have to save either the Chart (.mwc) or create a Template so that you always get the same load option.

I have encountered a rather peculiar problem in MetaStock. I have numerous data files forsecurities. As an example of the problem: I have a DAT file for MERC. The start date of that fileis 10/29/1993. The problem is that when I view the chart through MetaStock, the earliest dateshow is 11/25/2001.Any ideas on how to get MetaStock to show all the dates in the data file? Thanks for any help,Conrad
