In version 8:

Start System Tester.

Choose New Simulation.

Select your system.

Then you are in the Select Securities
screen.  You will see the “Dates” button on the lower right.

start and finish dates for the test? I read
through the system test part 
of the manual and it appears I'm overlooking it.
