The key here is "force the message on people who would not
otherwise choose to receive it." This is a Metastock forum and the
product is a Metastock data downloader. Many of us here welcome this
kind of info. How many times has someone posted asking for info on
data sources and such?

Again,this is a Metastock forum and the product is a Metastock data
downloader. This was not Viagra or "turn $500 into $100,000 using
this system!".
The only possible part of the definition of spam this could fit would
be posting to multiple boards. If it is an appropriate product sent
by the owner then it is called "advertising"-and that is up to the
moderator. If it is a user passing along info on something he found
usefull-well, that's one reason we are on this board.
I was glad to learn of this product. I am testing it out right now.
It works for me. I would like more info on alternative data aources
for Metastock EOD and RT.
