I am a little dense.
Wanting to use a plot of the linear regression line in a formula, (not
using the canned MS version), I tried this:
Linear Regression ((15*(sum(cum(1)*C,10))-(sum(cum(1),10)*(sum(C,10))
))
/((10*sum(pwr(cum(1),2 ),10))-pwr(sum(cum(1),2),10))
-pwr(sum(cum(1),10),2))
My statistics search got me this.
LR = a + bt
a = (1/n)(nSIGMAt=1Pt -b(nSIGMAt=1t))
(n(nSIGMAt=1Pt t) - nSIGMAt=1Pt nSIGMAt=1 t
b= ------------------------------------------
(n(nSIGMAt=1 t(squared)) - (nSIGMAt=1 Pt)squared
where
n is the number of periods in the summation
t is the position of the current time period in the data base
Pt is the price for the current period
What am I doing wrong?
