[EquisMetaStock Group] Market Position indicator

Is there a function in System or Expert Advisor that will allow me 
to know whether I have a market position (Long or Short)?

I need to do a logical test something like:  If I have a position 
then do x otherwise do y.

I'm having a brain fade trying to figure this out.

Also, is there a guide that maps Metastock formula to Tradestation 
forumla?
