[Metastockusers] Can you make backup copies of Metastock CD's?

I have just received my 8.01 update and thought I would make a backup copy 
of it but find I cannot because my software cannot read the sectors. So I 
tried my 8.0 and 7.2 but found exactly the same thing leading me to assume 
that there is a copy protection mechanism.

So how do I make my legal backup copy I wonder? I do not want to steal 
anything or break the law but I believe the law provides for a single backup 
copy to be made??
