You stated you worked for NASD Regulation. I wonder if you can
comment on this pet peeve of mine:
It's under the term of Freeriding. If I have $100,000 in a cash
account,(no margin), and I buy and sell $50K worth of stocks the same
day, I cannot have access to that $50k until T+3. But Margin accounts
can.
This is not freeriding, I fully paid for those stocks. If the
exchange has no confidence that the trades will clear then shut down
the markets.
What's your view?
