I'm not sure what the answer is for MS 8.0, but the 20 variable limit is
really a limit on the number of variable names rather than the number of
variables as such. With thoughtful coding it's usually easy enough to re-use
some variable names. Another simple expedient is to leave the last variable
(the indicator output line) unnamed. An indicator with 30 or more variables
should be possible if kept compact, although I think 27 is my personal best.
