<<Using an old formula from Guppytraders.com, I tried to rewrite it in V 7.x style. I keep getting an error message that CMO1 is not a recognized function.

Put an underscore - "_" between CMO and 1. Write it "CMO_1" - it doesn't recognize the "CMO1" formula.
