Thank
you so much for taking the time to respond to my request for help as to if and
how you can run weekly system tests with Mstk 8.0 EOD. When I did not receive a
reply from this forum for several weeks I sent a tech support email to Equis
International. They responded punctually, but confirming what you have kindly
advised that the program does not readily support weekly system tests for local
rather than online databases.
I
agree with you entirely that it is a major omission in Version 8.0 that you can
not run weekly system tests unless you link to the online database - I run local
data from Australasia.

I took
your advice and selected a stock, in weekly mode, from within a chart window. I
then copied the data and created a weekly directory and ticker file in
Downloader. I then pasted the selected data into the Downloader spreadsheet for
the created ticker file and this worked fine... Unfortunately, when I tried to
save the file it wouldn't because the body of the spreadsheet was in US date
inversion ie mm/dd/yyyy whilst my Operating System is in dd/mm/yyyy format
(Australasian/UK)! Life certainly is not easy!

Any
other thoughts on how I could create a weekly directory from my existing daily
directories?

I have
copied this reply to Equis International, maybe they will work on this problem
for us.

[EquisMetaStock Group] Re:Weekly SimulationsI can't see how
you set the Version 8 (EOD) Enhanced System Tester toanalyse and produce a
weekly report rather than daily. In earlierversions I seem to recall there
was a check box in Options to dictatewhether the Test would be daily or
weekly. Can somebody kindly tell meif and how to set up for weekly
simulations?Thanks,Gordon SutherlandTo
