Gary,
I have done the same thing...I blame it on age
:-). Can you just create the number of directories that you need ( 500 X
?) to get all your files and do the historic download? Then merge them
into the 2000 limit in MS? The downloads won't take that long. If
you make copies then you can't get back here again.
Bob

Subject: [EquisMetaStock Group] Re: Data
Question
Bob; What I had missed, which is documented in the
manual (note to self: RTFM, carefully this time), is that the password
must be the CODED password. Peter's documentation clearly outlines
how to get that info, and he answered my e-mail on a SATURDAY, politely
even though I had missed it in the manual. Never got that kind of
support from anyone else. Now I'm trying to figure out how to build
a year's worth of intraday history by downloading several months of
5-minute data on a number of stocks, when the Quote.com server has a limit
of 500 quotes (records?). Still working on that, but I'm open to any
pointers from anyone who has done it.Gary--- In
