Since this is a brand new installation, not an upgrade, I don't have
anything to re-write - I have not been able to get it to work long
enough to do anything with it! So, a complete reinstall is no
problem.
In fact, I've upgraded to Windows 2000 (in a clean directory),
upgraded both video and printer drivers from those manufacturers.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled both MetaStock and eSignal several
times, erasing the directories completely each time (not that I think
it's MetaStock, since Winros won't feed eSignal's own application
either). With the packages uninstalled, I've reinstalled Windows
2000, or extracted clean copies of the suspect dll's from the install
CD, then reinstalled eSignal and MetaStock. The only thing I can
think of that I have not done would be to reformat the hard disk,
which would be ridiculous - if eSignal won't run with what I've
already done, or they don't have any other specific suggestions, then
it's time for me to look for another data vendor.
