Check out the installation of
Internet Explorer 6.0 which comes with Metastock 8.0.
You can do this with <A
href="http://www.browsertune.com";>www.browsertune.com . Browertune
indicated that the installation
of Internet 6.0 was flawed and
suggested reinstallation. Since IE6.0 is known to have
problems, I elected to install
IE6.0 sp1. This cleared up a ton of problems with the
brower installation according
to Browsertune. You can get the service pack by using
the windows update
function. Be aware that I have found some problems with the
new system tester that have
been reported to Equis. Fixing the browser may have
fixed one of the system tester
problems but found another one.

It happens regularly with MS 6.5 and MS 7.0 and MS
7.20.
So it would appear the fault is still in Version
8.0.
Often best best is to Uninstall and then reinstall
making sure you do not have any other programsopen at
all.
Use CTRL_ALT Delete to Close them down
before installation.
That cleans up the DLLs.
But that being said it will still probably creep back in 3 or
4 months down the track.

I'm installing Metastock Rt v8 today and when
I try to start it(the offline version) I keep getting this
error message:MSWIN has cause an invalid page fault in
MFC42.DLL at address xxxxHas anyone in this group had to
deal with this problem...and could pass on the solution on
