the record, I recently upgraded from Metastock EOD Version 7.2 to Version 8.0
and had no problems with the installation. The program seems reasonably stable.
Could you share with the Group some of the bugs in the Enhanced System Tester
that you have found inconsistencies with?

would agree with the initiator of this thread that the new concepts in V8 are a
great improvement. For serious System evaluation I would like to see the
following:

Ability to nest a function (outputing a constant such as lookback period) in the
periods part of the formula.
* A
summary averaging the results of all tickers in test data so that one can
get a fix on such things as: Avg Days Held; overall ROI; RR Ratio etc - this
would help me assess the robustness of the System(s) being
tested.

It is
a pain to export the output data to a spreadsheet template to get the above type
of statistics.

I
don't want to sound negative though, as I think Version 8 is well worth
upgrading to (IMO).
