I have found with each new version of MS that older versions have been
unable to access files once the newer version has opened them. I believe
there are two issues to be aware of that may help you get around the
problem.
Deleting "smart charts" that have been opened by the newer version "may"
allow the older version to access the files once again. This approach has
worked for me in the past.
Continuing to use the older version of DownLoader should ensure that the raw
data continues to be accessible to all programs that require it. Once other
programs are "caught up" then you could use the DownLoader for 8.0.
